Breaking: Robert Mueller Officially Asked To Resign

If Arizona Rep. Trent Franks gets his way, Special Council Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation might be coming to a very sudden end. Republican lawmakers have been calling out Mueller ever since it was announced that he would be heading the Trump-Russia investigation. For many around the country, there was a clear conflict of interest between him, the president and former FBI Director James Comey. But nevertheless, he is still in charge and still actively looking for clues.

According to reports first sourced by Fox News, the Republican from Arizona said that he must resign in response to his close friendship and open relationship with James Comey. That is what people have been saying from the beginning. As of yet, nothing has come from it.

“Bob Mueller is in clear violation of federal code and must resign to maintain the integrity of the investigation into alleged Russian ties,” Franks said in a statement.

“Those who worked under them have attested he and Jim Comey possess a close friendship, and they have delivered on-the-record statements effusing praise of one another.”

It seems as though this would be enough to get him off the investigation that could potentially derail the president of the United States. Republicans are flabbergasted by the sheer ineptitude of Mueller and his investigation team. Democrats have applauded him and his work on the investigation.

James Comey is not the only reason Trent wants to see Mueller go, either. Trent, who serves on the House Judiciary Committee, says that another red flag brought up was his decision to stack the investigation with huge Democratic donors.

“Already, this investigation has become suspect — reports have revealed at least four members of Mueller’s team on the Russia probe donated to support Hillary Clinton for president, as President Trump pointed out. These obviously deliberate partisan hirings do not help convey impartiality,” Franks said.

“Until Mueller resigns, he will be in clear violation of the law, a reality that fundamentally undermines his role as special counsel and attending ability to execute the law.”

It seems clear: Robert Mueller needs to resign. He cannot give a fair investigation with so many holes to go through.
