First Lady Melania Trump kept on with her foreign tradition of paying a visit to ill children in hospitals on Thursday when she showed up at Necker Hospital in Paris.
President Donald Trump and his lovely wife are set to be in France for two days, where the U.S. president will have a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and take part in a Bastille Day celebration.
The first lady decided to let Donald Trump do some business while she took to a children’s region of the Paris hospital on Thursday where she met some cute little guys of all ages.
Melania spoke shortly in French to six children who were in a room painted with images from the well-known book, “The Little Prince.”
After saying who she is and asking them how they were in French, the first lady then shifted to using a translator to keep on with the conversation.
Shortly afterwards, Melania took to Twitter and posted a photo from her visit with the children.
“Thank U @hospital_necker for allowing me to visit your wonderful patients & inspirational staff,” the tweet read. “Continued prayers for good health for all.”
In the latest few months, the first lady made some concentrated public actions to fit in time with children at events both from overseas and domestic. From reading with children at the yearly White House Easter Egg Roll to paying a visit to students at numerous schools, Melania Trump appears set on addressing the needs of children from different backgrounds.
Even while she is out of our country during her long overseas trip with President Donald Trump, she stopped by both Queen Fabiola University Hospital in Brussels and Bambino Gesu in Rome where she took some photos and visited with ill children.
